About the Role
Job Overview
We are currently seeking a strong Systems Analyst to play a key role, deliver solutions to our business partners, solve complex problems, and strive to advance and sustain a world-class platform. This position requires strong analytical skills, with a high attention to detail, and a desire to analyze and solve interesting problems. This individual must be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task and work on a variety of assignments with people across the organization. Excellent organization, communication, and delivery skills are required. This individual must be a team player with a desire and willingness to learn.
Primary purpose of this role is to provide excellent support in for the firm’s Australia business. While solving interesting problems and managing Sydney based stakeholders, this role will closely work with the rest of the APAC team on challenging and interesting region (and global) wide projects. Constantly being on a steep learning curve, this role has strong ability of growth in multiple directions.
**Responsibilities**:
- Actively support firm’s IT operations in Sydney office.-
- Taking ownership of customer issues reported and seeing problems through to resolution.- Diagnose and solve broad range of IT problems, primarily focused on Sydney office user base.- Maintain good professional relationship with Sydney user base.- Escalating issues to appropriate teams.- Strong collaboration with the rest of APAC team on various technical and business-related matters.- Support and actively participate in broader region and global projects and operations.- Create and maintain concise technical and support documentation.
**Qualifications**:
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.- Ability to explain problems and solutions concisely and clearly is a must.- Experience working in a financial sector is desired.- Excellent sense of ownership of tasks and projects.- Learning agility, ability to learn and to switch context quickly.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail.- Ability to critically think and assess the given situation.- Strong relationship-building skills and ability to properly manage users’ expectations.-
- Working knowledge of Windows 10.-
- Working knowledge of Active Directory administration.- Good experience with mobility products such as Microsoft Intune and iOS devices.- Understanding of desktop/laptop/VDI engineering and virtualization.-
- Understanding of voice and video equipment and technology.- Basic computer network knowledge: switching, wireless, DHCP, DNS, VPN- Experience working with Service Now (or similar tool) is a plus.- Experience with basic scripting (PowerShell, Python, bash) is a plus.- Basic knowledge of market data tools (Bloomberg) is a plus.
