As the Payroll Operations Lead, you will coordinate the accurate, efficient, and timely processing of payrolls for all nib companies.
Playing a key role supporting the Group Payroll Manager, your role includes mentoring and supporting the broader payroll team, resolving complex payroll issues, ensuring compliance with legislation, company policies, and awards while driving efficiencies.
You will prepare, analyse, and reconcile data reports including Payroll Tax, Workers’ Compensation and Superannuation to maintain data accuracy, integrity and meet legislative requirements.
Let’s talk about you
Your previous experience running payroll processing, coupled with your understanding of Australian payroll legislation and employment tax law will see you succeed in this role. You will possess demonstrated experience in interpreting awards, company policies, individual contracts, and enterprise agreements in addition to strong knowledge of statutory requirements and regulations such as superannuation, leave and payroll tax.
Furthermore, we’re looking for:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability in reconciliations- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with all internal teams and business partners- Proven ability to take a hands-on approach to delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines and to identify and address payroll issues and employee enquiries- Proficiency in advanced Excel functions, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and IF statements- Experience with iChris/Chris21/Workday or a similar Payroll/HRIS (desired)- Experience in processing payrolls across multiple states/jurisdictions
