**THE POSITION**

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Law Firm Trust Accounts Manager with at least 5 years of trust accounting experience to join our growing team.

**_Key responsibilities:_**
- Manage the day-to-day trust accounting processes in accordance with statutory requirements to ensure compliance with the relevant Law Society Regulations.
- Record all receipts and payments to individual trust account ledgers.
- Perform trust account reconciliations.
- Process all trust to office transfers.
- Process all trust end of month reports in accordance with statutory requirements.
- Co-ordinate and manage year-end trust audits in consultation with the Legal Practice Director.
- Receipting and reconciliation of trust and business accounts.
- Investigating and reporting discrepancies and irregularities.
- Respond to and process client and lawyer requests within agreed timeframes.
- Setting up and maintaining Controlled Monies Accounts.
- Debtor Management.
- Daily banking when required.
- Client billing including any subsequent adjustments.
- Identify opportunities for process and procedure improvements.
- Ensure you maintain your knowledge and training of trust accounting best practices.

**_Skills and Experience_**

We are looking for someone who:

- Has a minimum 5 years’ experience in a Law Firm Trust Accounting role.
- Is proficient in using Xero and Legal Practice Management Software.
- Has experience working in the finance team for a law firm.
- Intermediate Excel skills and the ability to extract and analyse information.
- Organised and committed to meeting deadlines.
- Has the ability to work autonomously.
- Works well within a team environment.
- Highly organised and a team leader.
