**Overview**

Leading organisation is seeking an experienced Operational Risk Advisor to join their 2nd line enterprise risk function as they continue to embark on uplifting their risk maturity. This is a broad role where you get the opportunity to make a real impact on the business, partnering closely with executive members of staff and have a seat at the table for risk management. You will be charged with building a risk awareness culture and playing a key role in supporting the Heads of Risk and the Chief Risk Officer in the embedment and continuous improvement of the Risk Management Framework.

**Reporting into the Head of Risk Management, this broad role will include responsibilities, such as**:

- Provide operational risk expertise across the organisation to support the identification, assessment and monitoring of risk and control activities
- Work with the key stakeholders and other members in the risk team to build a strong risk culture
- Risk profiling
- Dashboard reporting
- Working with 1st line to continually uplift risk maturity, providing insights where possible
- Partner with Internal and External Auditors
- General Risk Assessments
- Provide support to risk owners to assist them to define and manage their risks
- Training and develop staff as required. The organisation has launched a training module and will embark on risk awareness project soon which you will be a key contributor to
- Working with senior staff to establish and implement the annual controls assurance plan
- Incident Management - supporting the 1st line with this
- Provide incident management oversight and support to the business to identify, report and resolve incidents including any regulatory breaches
- Business Continuity Planning and outsourcing

**In order to be successful, you will possess**:

- 4+ years' experience within an APRA/ASIC regulated or Government organisation, in the capacity of operational risk / enterprise risk / compliance / audit
- An understanding/appreciating for technology risk will be highly regarded
- Relevant tertiary qualifications preferred
- Sound understanding of operational risk frameworks, concepts, and tools
- Strong report writing and presentation skills
- Ability to liaise with stakeholders of all levels and provide tangible insights
- Proven ability to work as a team member, with a strong stakeholder consultation and management focus
