**About This Role**
Responsible for designing, organizing and facilitating training & development programmes to enhance employees' skills and competencies at the workplace.
Perform training needs assessments and deliver curriculum and learning materials for managing all phases of training interventions. Responsible for Mobile equipment training on the mine.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Coordinate staff training programmes based on organizational and employees' assessments.
- Responsible for the training, testing and certifying equipment Operators.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes and measure the impact of the training on employees' skills development and productivity.
- Generate and update Standard Operational Procedures as required.
- Train employees on General and respective Machine/Job Specific SOPs for Surface Operations and Underground Operations
- Request succession role requirements and high potential talent report from the Performance Management Superintendent and actively develop key talent in consultation with respective Managers.
- Maintain training programmes and assessments and produce training materials for in-house training programmes/ courses.
- Amend and revise training programmes as necessary, in order to adapt to changes occurring in the work environment.
- Responsible for Light Vehicle assessment and permitting for both surface and underground driving.
- Administer training on Psychometric Dova Machine and Mobile Equipment Simulators.
- Ensure employees receive statutory requirements and certification.
- Coordinate and ensure employees complete assignments in LMS.
- Offer on-the-job coaching and development support on the Asante Performance Management Process.
- Assist in the identification and development of training packages, to maintain legislative requirements, operational currency, while enhancing site safety protocols and productivity targets.
- Develop effective training programmes for new staff, national service as well as graduate trainees and monitor and review the progress of trainees through evaluations and discussions with managers.
- Optimize training facilitation and scheduling to achieve staff development targets and key performance indicators.
- Participate in site internal audits to help identify and eliminate substandard practices.
- Implement both classroom and on-the-job practical training, in alignment with approved Training Business and Session plans.
- Coordinate all OEM & Vendor training and competency development programs for employees.
- Support the training of Underground employees for Minerals Commission statutory exams to ensure their competency in Ghanaian minerals regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
**Education, Work Experience & Key Competencies**
- Bachelor's degree in mining/ mechanical/ metallurgy/ electrical engineering or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Must have Trainer's Certificate of Competency from the Inspectorate Division of MINCOM.
- Ability to operate Surface /Underground Equipment.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in mining operations and good understanding of Mining Standard Operating Procedures.
- Demonstrate knowledge of mining operations, preferably in the areas of Drill Offsiding, Mine Services, Drilling, Charging and Blasting, and Equipment Operations.
- Must be able to take initiatives, multi-tasks and prioritize workloads.
- Experience with development of training records management systems and localisation plans.
- Experience in classroom and field-based training techniques.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (preferably advanced Excel and Power point).
- Demonstrates a clear understanding of Training Legislative requirements within Ghana, for mining environments
