**OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE**
To create a positive and lasting first impression of the Club. Promote events and sell the club’s products and services including Memberships, Bottle shop, Club Promotions, Restaurant and Entertainment

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF ROLE**
- SMILE Welcome all guests with a positive, helpful attitude.
- Signing-up of all members in accordance to company policy and procedures, refer to Policy and Procedure Manual.
- Ensure compliance with Liquor Licensing of all entrants to the Club.
- Selling and promoting the club’s services and products.
- Assisting patron with sales in the Bottle shop.
- Comprehensive knowledge and promote Bottle shop products and promotions. Up sell.
- Ensuring the Club’s minimum dress standards are adhered to by guests and member. Special focus must be paid to consistency of standards.
- Take Restaurant booking when necessary. Take enquiries for functions.
- Assist with general enquiries.
- Paging guests on the PA system.
- Safely storing of member’s belongings etc. in the cloak room.
- Recording of daily events and any critical incidents in the Reception Diary (daily). Keep up to date on the current Memo’s.
- Ensure the work environment complies with Workplace Health and Safety legislation.
- Work as a team player and to the venues standards.
- Other duties as requested by the Operations Manager.
- Report any issues i.e. stolen car, irate customer etc. and Customer complaints to a Manager on Duty or Supervisor.
- Check who the Duty Manager is and change the name on the duty board.
- Turn on the computers and card printer.
- Open up the Bottle shop and turn on all lights and signs.
- Count Membership and bottle shop tills.
- Place signing in books on counter.
- Ensure dress regulation sign is placed outside front door and function/promotion sign is placed on either side of the signing in desk.
- Check Head Counter is turned on.
- Put out daily membership target and Admin availability sheet, check the entertainment board has the updated signs.
- Ensuring the Signing in Books are filled out correctly according to the Liquor Act.
- Assist with all general inquires.
- Processing EFTPOS Transactions for both Membership and Bottle shop tills.
- Registering Service persons, issuing service passes and notifying Manager on Duty.
- Cleaning and maintenance of reception area and facilities.
- Make Dress Regulation announcement at or after 7pm.
- Make Club close announcements at appropriate times.
- Turn off computers and card printer.
- Transfer phones at close of business.
- Complete any duties requested by Operations Manager or Duty Manager.
Occupational Health and Safety Responsibilities
The general responsibilities of a staff member at this level include, but are not limited to:
- Implement and organise work and processes to ensure compliance with BRC’s OH&S Management System.
- Issue personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.
- Report to the GM any hazardous situation that requires rectification and which cannot be rectified in the normal course of duties.
- Provide a visible commitment to a safe and healthy work environment by ensuring regular reviews are undertaken and by participating in health and safety meetings and training as required.
**ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS OF ROLE**
- BRC staff will comply with all internal policies, procedures and practices in force at any time.
- BRC staff will comply with all legal requirements and reflect community expectations of corporate behaviour.
- BRC staff will operate in accordance with the organisation’s core values.
- The incumbent must be able to work outside normal business hours as GSC trades seven days per week.

Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate
Certificate II in Hospitality Operations
1 years’ experience in a receptionist environment
