**About the role**

This is an exciting opportunity where you can use your strong leadership skills in managing our trades staff based in our Balmain Shipyard. As Maintenance Supervisor you will ensure that the maintenance schedule is executed as planned, seek ways to improve vessel availability and reliability as well as ensuring costs are effectively managed for every project.

Your effective communication and stakeholder management skills will see you lead and mentor our trades staff in the yard and break down any barriers that may affect the efficiency of the team. As our Maintenance Supervisor you will promote a high-performance culture through the promotion of innovative systems and work practices in your team.

**About you**

To be successful in this role you must have:

- Prior experience leading or supervising trade teams
- Trade qualification or engineering background.
- Demonstrated experience in industrial / commercial asset management / maintenance or shipyard environment equivalent will be highly regarded
- Experience in vessel operation, maintenance and repairs will be held in high regard
- Experience in quality management in a best practice environment.
- Maintenance planning and scheduling skills in a commercially focused environment with a strong customer service and safety focus
