I am currently partnered with a Federal Government Client located in the Geelong CBD who is looking for multiple APS4 Policy Analysts, for a full time temporary assignment with the potential to extend.

**Your new role**

The APS4 Policy Analyst is a project-based position, supporting the provision of policy analysis and recommendations within an assigned project area. Advice will be based on document review, stakeholder consultation, existing policies and legislation. The position will have a considerable level of contact with internal stakeholders from across the portfolio, and may have some external stakeholder engagement responsibilities, such as coordinating meetings and workshops. Responsibilities may include:

- Analysing and interpreting legislation, policies, reports, strategies and program/project plans
- Conducting desktop research to inform policy and strategy design
- Coordinating and liaising with internal procurement teams and external suppliers
- Contributing to briefings, reports, business cases and other executive material
- Developing materials, agendas and PowerPoint presentations for meetings and workshops

**What you'll need to succeed**

To succeed as the APS4 Policy Analyst, you will need:

- Conceptual and analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to understand and synthesise information from a range of strategic, academic, policy or legislative sources
- Strong stakeholder relationship management and interpersonal skills
- Relevant qualifications in social science (political science, public policy, economics, sociology, communications) is desired, along with experience in fields such as statistics, econometrics and/or health economics
- Understanding of current policy trends related to disability sector is desired
- IT proficiency
- Australian Citizenship
