NSW Government organisation seeking a Procurement Officer for a 6-month assignment based in Parramatta.

**Your new role**

The Procurement Officer provides procurement expertise on procurement schemes and panels and assists stakeholders to plan, develop, source and manage procurement arrangements. This role partners with stakeholders to provide advice, support and guidance on procurement activities, ensuring best practice procurement across the organisation. Your responsibilities will include
- Provide expert advice, information and guidance on procurement schemes and panels and provide governance and support on the categories of spend.
- Conduct procurement activities and training in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Participate in negotiations to establish and review supply arrangements that will deliver value for money procurement outcomes.
- Ensure service delivery within agreed timeframes, quality standards, and budgetary constraints.
- Advise business units on contracts approaching expiry and validating stakeholder needs to evaluate whether new procurements are required
- Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders
- Utilise and maintain comprehensive systems and procedures, including the utilisation of the records management system

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Previous procurement experience
- NSW Government experience favourable
- Strong communication skills
