**Your new role awaits**

This technical leadership role is responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of all third-party and internally managed IT infrastructure used to support business process and services across the enterprise.

As a member of the IT leadership team, you will contribute to the development and execution of the enterprise-wide IT strategy, as well as maintaining operational and service management processes to ensure that quality, efficiency, and agility goals are achieved.

Leading a team of technical engineers, you’ll need to have strong interpersonal skills and experience managing internal and external customer expectations. This is an opportunity for you to demonstrate your expansive technical cloud & infrastructure experience, strong project management acumen and excellent vendor management skills to enable cost-effective and innovative infrastructure solutions.

**A typical day for you**
- Providing strategic direction and oversight for the design, development, operation, and support of IT systems, including the full life cycle of technical architecture, infrastructure engineering, infrastructure operations and infrastructure service support.
- Maintaining currency on new technologies and platforms and providing direction on what emerging technologies should be assimilated, integrated, and introduced in Infrastructure and cloud spaces.
- Leading and driving a team of technical engineers to improve ticket response time and incident resolution.
- Operating a formal technical governance mechanism to ensure that services are delivered in line with agreed business outcomes.
- Implementing priority triage to balance BAU (support) and projects.

**What you’ll bring to the role**
- Success in leveraging traditional best practices, such as ITSM, as well as emerging methods, such as DevOps (Cloud environment deployment repeatability), that are optimized for agility.
- People leadership and mentoring experience - developing core skills of team members and career progression planning.
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience managing expectations of internal and external stakeholders.
- Degree in computer science or relevant field.
- Cloud architecture background or understanding.
- Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent resident.
