**Responsibilities**:
Duties include but are not limited to
- Develop CAD models, assembly and detailed engineering drawings for manufacturing of tools and complying with all the Australian and International Standards.
- Updating product information on internal documents and producing new product documents for manual and internal use.
- Conduct research to reduce material consumption in the manufacturing of all types of cap designs for sustainability & cost effectiveness by studying material properties such as Aluminium & steel, combining different manufacturing processes & creating tools.
- Conducting Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of CAD models to achieve required design specifications including durability, mechanical properties (strength, etc.) and cost.
- Trouble-shooting of failure modes and working to improve component and product performance through design improvements.
- Solving mechanical design problems and production of prototypes in house for clients using 3D printing, laser cutting, machining and performing 3D laser scanning to collect & analyse data.
- Assisting in the commissioning of new assets & liaising with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for technical assistance.
- Performing complete Root Cause Analysis with maintenance for plant downtime & events and recommending improvement, modifications, upgrades to plant equipment and machinery.

Qualification

Graduate of Mechanical, Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering. Capstone project related to research in design engineering and/or material science would be highly advantageous.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in industrial design & process engineering.
- Understanding of the following manufacturing processes is essential: metal machining, sheet metal forming, metal casting, plastic mounding and forming.
- High level of computer skills including CAD, ANSYS and MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
- Experience with calculating deep drawing forces, and radial & tangential stresses would be highly desirable.
- An understanding of industrial pneumatic systems and ability to read and understand schematics
- A passion for learning and personal growth, with meaningful focus on industry developments.
- Have excellent general engineering problem-solving skills and some experience in equipment maintenance.
- Personable and can effectively relate to and communicate with various levels within the organization.
- Able to take on accountability in a positive and reliable manner.

Remuneration

~AU$50,000 to AU$80,000

Flexible working hours required and additional hours will be compensated by overtime pay.

You might be required to work on weekends to conduct testing of new tooling
