Concrete Field Tester

**Casual Concrete Field Tester - immediate start**

$38/ hr Casual rate + Overtime

Hanson is playing a vital role in the construction of one of Brisbane’s largest infrastructure projects, The Cross River Rail Project. We are urgently seeking experienced testers to join our team at the Skygate Laboratory, located at Brisbane Airport. You will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with Australian Standards and NATA requirements for sampling and testing of concrete mixes and entering test results into multiple systems. This is project role for 6 months with plenty of overtime available.

**What you will be doing**:

- Sampling and testing fresh concrete as per Australian Standards on busy construction sites
- High volume infrastructure work including self-compacting concrete products
- Working safely and accurately
- Reporting to Laboratory Supervisor
- Overtime, weekend work and some night work required (Don’t worry - you’ll get penalty rates for these shifts)

**What you need**:

- Australian manual driver’s licence
- Be computer savvy and be able to use a lab app for data entry
- Previous experience with concrete testing
- Rail or tunnel experience is highly regarded

**About you**:

- A positive, friendly can-do attitude
- Patient and even temperament
- Able to handle normal construction site issues
- You’re a self-starter and don’t mind working on alone
- A lucrative subcontractor agreement is on offer for testers with their own equipment
