**Who are we looking for?**

Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is seeking a Queensland Node Co-ordinator, Indigenous Genomics Network to join School of Biomedical Sciences, Faculty of Health, Academic Division.

The Queensland Node Co-ordinator (QNC), with support from the Network Operations Manager and Queensland CI team, will develop and implement a jurisdictional node and flagship operational plan and key deliverables. As an experienced manager, the QNC will ensure the Network’s key deliverables, including: the establishment of local Indigenous governance structures; consultation, engagement, and involvement of multiple partners and stakeholders; participation in the National Node Co-ordinator Community of Practice; developing and co-ordinating capacity building initiatives with node stakeholders, including communities and health services; and developing local and national Indigenous genomic policies. This position will be based in Brisbane, however, flexible working arrangements can be negotiated. Intra-state and interstate travel will be required. This position will work under the leadership and guidance of a Queensland Indigenous CI group, reporting to a QUT based CI.

**About the School**
The School of Biomedical Sciences, Faculty of Health, provides innovative undergraduate degree programs in Medical Laboratory Science and Biomedical Science, and contributes to several other degree programs across the University.
The School’s research is focused on primary and applied questions of how the human body works, in efforts to improve our quality of life. Teaching is carried out in new state-of-the-art learning spaces and laboratories, and our researchers enjoy world class facilities in multi-campus Institutes and collaborative research centres, closely aligned with translational and industry drivers.
Areas of research strength, including cancer, vaccines and infections, Indigenous genomics, and cell and tissue engineering feed into specialty undergraduate teaching in anatomical sciences, cell and molecular biology, human biochemistry and physiology and infectious diseases.
