Are you looking for an exciting new challenge? Would you like to be a part of Katoomba best retro diner? We have a very unique opportunity for the right person to join our Aunty Ed's crew. We are looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager willing to support the owner and take some responsibility and help to run the show of a friendly and welcoming venue.

Starting salary $60k - $70K per year with a review at the end of probation.

Our Restaurant and Bar is well known in the Blue Mountains as the place to be, especially on a Sunday night with our live music each week. We are known for our delicious burgers and the crunchiest chips in town, as well as our huge range of cocktails, Aussie indie craft beers and embellished milkshakes and hot chocolates.

We have a strong focus on fast yet quality food, offering large portions and catering to a large number of dietary requirements. Our staff go above and beyond to offer their customers an awesome dining experience, and they are the reason behind Aunty Ed's huge success.
- Enjoy leading from the front, with a warm, knowledgeable and hands on approach to the role.
- Assist with mentoring, developing, and training hospitality staff.
- Prioritise the Aunty Ed's culture and develop a strong team spirit within a context of inclusivity and training.
- Work closely with the Chef and members of the Management Team to ensure in venue operations, activity and promotions are delivered to drive business results
- Effectively manage and monitor licensing requirements
- Experience in effective stock management and control
- Assist with the implementation of strategies to grow the brand of the hotel through marketing, functions, events, food, and beverage experience

About you

In this role we are looking for a leader with
- Management experience preferred
- Leadership experience working with a small team
- Effective communication skills
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Restaurant & Bar operations with knowledge and loads of enthusiasm for the Beverage offering.
- The ability to prioritise guest experience and service.
- Ability to troubleshoot and ability to remain positive under pressure
- A strong social conscience and a desire to give back

Unfortunately, we do have some pre-requisites for this role. These are:

- Australian Citizen/ Resident or Australian work visa holder
- Not afraid of some hard work (getting stuck in is part of all our roles)
- Be available to work a flexible roster including nights and weekends & School Holidays.
- An ability to work within a team without an ego.
- A passion for good food.
- A strong command of English.
- Enjoy learning, progressing, and working as part of a team.
- A professional attitude and great personal presentation.
