**Position Information**:
Rouse Hill Public School is located in the rapidly growing North West region of Sydney. A large, dynamic and student-centred school, the current enrolment of approximately 1,190 students, which includes a support unit consisting of one Multi-Category and three Autism classes, has increased considerably over the past four years. The teaching staff includes a mixture of experienced and early career teachers. The school caters for an increasingly culturally diverse student population, with approximately 65% of students having a language background other than English and twenty-four First Nations students. One of four bilingual schools in NSW, all students are provided the opportunity to learn Mandarin. Our school provides extensive opportunities in sport, performing arts and extracurricular groups, and promotes a strong focus on our PBL values: Respectful, Responsible and Resilient. Rouse Hill Public School enjoys a strong relationship with its interested and active P&C Committee.

**Selection Criteria**:
1. In addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach infants and/or primary, a demonstrated ability to balance the dual roles of exemplary classroom teacher with the complex responsibilities of an assistant principal, collaborating on and leading school strategic improvement initiatives.

2. A proactive leader with demonstrated expertise in leading curriculum implementation, driven by a focus on evidence-based and data-informed practices.

3. Demonstrated ability to foster collaborative teams and to build teacher capacity through well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.

4. Demonstrated ability to positively contribute to whole school wellbeing and behaviour management processes, drawing on a restorative approach to support staff and students to connect, succeed and thrive.

**General Selection Criteria**:
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
- 2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs- 3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams- 4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents- 5.
