**About the Program**
The NDIS aims to give people with disability better access to personalised, high quality and innovative supports and services. A specific focus is to enhance the independence, social and economic participation of people with disability and their carers. The NDIS uses a person-centred approach that aims to increase choice and control.
In the NDIS stream, One Door operates locally as self-organised teams, where team members are collectively responsible and accountable for most aspects of delivering services. The team will be responsible for supporting tasks such as; planning, time management, managing annual leave and absence, in addition to tasks related to consumer service delivery.
**About the Role**
The NDIS Intensive Worker will assist consumers on their journey towards independence, purposeful coping and self-management through direct individual consumer work as well as centre based/group activities to meet the consumer's goals. As a team member, the NDIS Worker will work collaboratively with other team members to facilitate the effective operation of the team.

**Your skills and experience**
**_Essential_**
- Holds a Certificate III or IV in mental health, disability or related field, where qualifications are necessary for the safety of the person we support.
- Previous experience in supporting individuals recovering from severe and persistent mental illness
- Sound IT competence with Microsoft programs, Client Management Systems, electronic timesheets, HRIS and ability to adapt to new systems as they are introduced
- Ability to exercise personal responsibility and work as part of a self-managing team, with the assistance of the Coach or Business Manager.
**Additional Details**
One Door Mental Health requires all staff to have a Police Check clearance, a current Working with Children's Check and NDIS Worker Screening clearance and appropriate COVID-19 Vaccination (x3 Doses).
