Supply Chain makes life easier, safer and more sustainable across our network. Our team works with thousands of trusted businesses every day to bring together our suppliers, distribution centres and stores. By keeping those relationships strong and processes running smoothly, we’re able to maintain the availability and quality of our products for our customers.
Our Smeaton Grng DC facility plays a pivotal role in supplying fresh produce across NSW. We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join the team.

**About the role**:
As the DC Operations Manager, you’ll demonstrate and champion our Coles principles within the Operations team to drive a positive, proactive and motivated team culture while enhancing effective communication with all team members. You’ll liaise and establish relationships with our supermarkets, suppliers and Heads of departments, as well as having full end to end accountability with a team of over 500 people. You will also:

- lead a Safety Culture focussed on continual improvement and implementation of changes to raise operational standards and performance by ensuring Shift Managers and Team Managers are achieving high standards of performance in areas of safety
- ensuring all day-to-day operational tasks are achieved to consistently high standards, while providing service and delivering financial performance targets that are compliant with all Coles Logistics Policies and Procedures
- managing performance and providing direction to team members across all areas of their roles, through coaching conversations or through formalised discussion processes

**About you and your skills**:
We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager who has delivered great results in a supply chain setting, you will also have:

- tertiary or equivalent management / logistics qualifications are preferred, but not essential
- experience of managing a large team (at least 150+) and full end-to-end processes within a warehousing environment - from receiving to despatch and all parts of logistics
- demonstrated experience in logistics management at a senior level in a fast-paced, unionised environment
- a strong track record of operations management
- highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate, influence, present and manage relationships with various levels of stakeholders
- to be results driven with proven capability in a changing environment
- strong commercial, project and stakeholder management skills combined with an awareness of the cost implications of different resource management decisions
- a level of experience working with warehouse management systems (WMS)
