**Role Description/Criteria**

**SELECTION CRITERIA**:
**Qualifications**:

- Appropriate educational qualification to teach in a Primary School
- Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic Primary School or a willingness to undertake accreditation
- VIT Registration
- Level 2 First Aid preferable

**Personal Qualities/Skills**:

- Hardworking, fun and energetic with a joyful and positive commitment to all aspects of school life
- Ability to build relationships with all members of the community, communicate effectively, solve problems, think creatively and work collaboratively
- A strong commitment to the values and ethos of Catholic Education
- Sound classroom management skills
- Current knowledge and competency in using technology to engage students and provide learning opportunities which enables them to collaborate, communicate, connect and learn collectively online
- Commitment to school and community events and activities through attendance, organisation and support
- Ability to provide a safe, secure learning environment for all, in line with the current child safe standards
- Excellent organisational skills, including thorough record keeping and detailed planning and assessment documents
- A passion for teaching children and a sound knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum
- Confident implementation of contemporary pedagogy with an ability to plan and teach using explicit teaching methods whilst allowing student creativity
- Ability to use student data to tailor curriculum to meet the individual needs of students
- Ability to be confidential, responsive and sensitive to issues raised by staff, students and families
- Willingness to lead the organisation of the St Mark's art exhibition.
