**In this role, you'll**:
- Be a part of major road upgrades from central to southern Sydney regions.
- Really make an impact on the transport network across Sydney
- Be the sites eyes and ears ensure that everything is running correctly under transports specifications
- Build engaging stakeholder relationships and foster a culture respectful communication between transport and its contractors
- Oversee drainage, earthworks, pavement, bridges culverts and retaining walls.
- brownfield sites facilitating utility relocations
This is a permanent full-time opportunity where you will be influential across multiple major road upgrades.
**About you**
- You'll have a background working in civil infrastructure ideally with an understanding of transport road specifications.
- You don't need to have worked as a Construction Surveillance Officer before however you do have to have a strong understanding of either civil or structures.
- Ideally you would really worked as a team leader or site supervisor, potentially developed your career from an operator or trades background.
- You will have keen eye for detail with the ability to read, understand and ensure engineering drawings are followed.
- You be confident in the understanding of site works and know when its appropriate to stop works due to safety, quality, environmental or other issues
