Provide a specialist surveillance capability in a trade/ engineering discipline for this NSW Government Agency.

**About The Role**
- Be responsible to provide a specialist surveillance capability in an advanced or specialist trade/engineering discipline.
- Lead highly complex or specialist surveillance activities on nominated contract works for the administration of road, bridge and/or maritime maintenance and construction works to ensure delivery in accordance with client time, quality and scope requirements.
- Provide highly specialised surveillance to ensure work compliance with standards and processes for Agency projects.
- Monitor, support and influence development partner progress in complex construction and engineering projects to align with Agency objectives.
- Coach and mentor Surveillance Officers to enhance surveillance and project practices.
- Offer specialised technical advice to enhance capability and improve project outcomes within the area of specialisation.
- Exercise Agency delegations on-site with autonomy to represent Agency needs and provide support to partners.
- Anticipate and advise on complex technical issues to support best-practice project and contract management.

**Skills & Experience**
- Advanced trade qualifications and up-to-date licenses in a highly specialised field pertinent to Agency works.
- Comprehensive experience with technologies, practices and processes involved in civil construction and maintenance within the specialised Agency context.
- Demonstrated ability in policies and codes governing civil construction and maintenance in the specialized Agency field.
- Proficiency in sourcing, analysing and interpreting complex project, construction and contract documentation.
- Extensive background in best-practice record-keeping and document management within construction or maintenance settings.
- Advanced interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, negotiation capabilities and fostering positive relationships within construction and maintenance environments.
- Proven planning and organisational abilities, adept at handling competing priorities and meeting deadlines effectively.

- $150 p/h+ super _
- Range $130-$180_
