Communications Coordinator

**About the role - Full-Time, 12 Month Contract (potential to extend)**

We are looking for someone who loves words, can turn a phrase on any topic and uses their storytelling skills to craft content that engages audiences and demonstrates Baptist Care SA’s values and purpose and impact. We need someone who is a creative thinker, who can work collaboratively with stakeholders to find innovative solutions to communication challenges and jump straight into writing across a range of channels.

Reporting to the Marketing and Media Manager, you’ll further hone your copywriting talents while developing strategic communications skills and curating and updating our website. Above all, we’re looking for someone who embraces our values and actively wants to work with us to find ways to help make people’s lives better.
- Your responsibilities will also include:_
- Write and edit content for a range of traditional and digital media, such as print and online publications, brochures, electronic direct mailouts, video and Baptist Care SA’s website
- Liaise with external suppliers to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of photography, video, graphic design, and printed materials
- Provide writing and editing services to the wider organisation to ensure quality and consistency of voice
- Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal and external clients to support the delivery of communications services.

**About you**:
To thrive in this position, you will be creative and collaborative and confident in your ability to turn a phrase on any topic. You’ll love a good yarn and can carefully craft compelling copy. Your stellar storytelling skills will easily hook audiences while your excellent writing skills will clearly communicate information to a wide variety of audiences. You’ll easily build good working relationships, enjoy a fast
- paced environment and manage competing priorities to ensure deadlines are met.
- You will also bring the following experience: _
- A tertiary qualification in communications, journalism, or a related discipline, and/or equivalent demonstrated experience in a related field
- Demonstrated experience in journalism or communications role
- Demonstrated experience in developing effective working relationships
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Proactive with excellent writing, communication, and time management skills
