We are partnering with a reputable State Government Department to find a highly skilled and motivated Communications Coordinator. This department plays a vital role in serving the community and driving positive change across various sectors. As a Communications Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a diverse range of projects.

**Your new role**

As the Communications Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective communication strategies and campaigns. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to produce engaging content, manage media relations, and ensure consistent messaging across various channels. This is a dynamic and fast-paced role that requires exceptional written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong project management abilities.

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be considered for this role, you will have:

- Proven experience in a similar communications role, preferably within a government or public sector environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing strategic communication plans.
- Experience managing end to end social media campaigns, posts, analysing results, and calendar schedules.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience in media relations and handling inquiries from journalists.
- Proficiency in using various communication tools and software.
- A valid Department of Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check (WWCC).
