Sydney Water has partnered with Delivering 4 Customers (D4C), a consortium comprising of John Holland, Service Stream and WSP, to deliver; design, construct, maintenance and facilities management services as part of the Partnering 4 Success(P4S) program in Sydney Water's Southern Region of Sydney.

What are we looking for? 
D4C is seeking a Finance Business Partner with a range of skills to join our team.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform core finance activities with high accuracy and diligence, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, P&L, Balance sheet and Cashflow management
- Planning and Completion of month-end/half year end and year end processes, including accurate and timely cost and revenue allocation
- Financial and management reporting, resource costing and recoveries, risk and opportunity analysis, variance analysis, and operational analysis to meet contract, project, and client reporting requirements
- Ownership of financial processes and transactional data, with a view to continuous improvement
- Assist Finance Lead in the maintenance of finance policies, workload allocation, finance calendars, and day-to-day operations of the finance team
- Provide guidance/coaching to finance team members and the broader business in relation to key finance processes and systems and drive problem-solving on a day-to-day basis
- Lead efforts to optimize finance systems in order to meet evolving business needs, working closely with the IT team and continuously identifying opportunities for improvement across all finance processes and procedures.
- Interface with Joint Venture partners for all JV matters and ensure compliance with Joint Venture Agreement
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business, including project managers and operations teams, and act as a trusted business partner to drive value creation and maintain strong control environment
- Ensure compliance with all taxation, legislative, and governance requirements, including audits

**Essential Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
- CPA, CMA or CA certification preferred
- 7+ years of experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 3 years in a business partnering capacity
- Strong grip on handling large datasets, excel modelling, automation. Experience of developing Power BI reports will be highly regarded
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Experience with ERP systems, project management systems and financial reporting tools, such as SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, Ineight, jobpac or similar platforms
