The Finance and Business Services Centre (FBSC), at Edith Cowan University, plays the primary role in the strategic management of financial resources across the University. Our aim is to partner with our customers and provide them with superior services that deliver professional relationships, efficient processes and sound financial management to support the University's objectives, including:
Supporting the Executive Deans, Directors and other executives in achieving strategic objectives by offering financial insights, data-driven analysis and consultation.
Providing financial leadership and direction, specifically in relation to budgeting /forecasting, student load planning, management reporting, performance monitoring, business development and asset management.
Managing financial aspects of project life cycles, from budgeting and financial management to reporting and acquittal, with a focus on robust financial governance and risk assessment practices applied.
Reporting to the Manager, Financial Innovation, this role is responsible for delivering client-focused accounting and business services, including monthly management reports, budgeting and forecasting, process improvement while ensuring compliance with the University's financial policies, procedures, and processes. This role works closely with university stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver valuable insights that enhance business decision-making and drive improvements in financial processes.

**Qualifications**: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Commerce, or Management, majoring in Accounting, complemented by relevant work experience. Membership in a professional accounting body is preferred.
**Experience**:
Demonstrated experience in customer focused financial support.
Post qualification experience in delivering accounting support services to a large business unit with working knowledge of accounting concepts, principles, practices and procedures.
Experience in a large ERP such as Oracle financials or similar as well as a high level of analytical and problem-solving skills and in using the Microsoft office suite.
You will also demonstrate personal attributes that are congruent with the University’s values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry Personal Excellence and Courage.
Benefits & Remuneration
This ongoing, full time position attracts remuneration of $92,087 to $99,353pa plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
