As a Medical officer, you will:

- Provide expert medical opinion to support mortality and morbidity assessments across both underwriting and claims, including communication with external treating medical professionals.
- Provide medical training programs including, medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pathology, up to date clinical protocols (diagnosis, investigation and treatment) as well as prognosis expectations to internal stakeholders.
- Assist in the review of in-force medical definitions on a regular basis as well as support of the design of any new product related medical definitions.
- Support the provision of ongoing evidence
- based health thought leadership newsletters and insights - both internally and externally
- Support and contribute to the various health initiatives across various customer and employee touchpoints including the review and identification of new health technology

**Important to your success - let’s grow together**
- Qualified Medical Practitioner, with up to date and ongoing registration in Australia.
- Experience within the life insurance industry or health industry, focusing on the provision of mortality and morbidity medical opinions and insights.
- Experience in designing and delivering medical training programs is preferable.
- Experience in communicating and liaising with treating and academic medical professionals.
- Knowledge within medical areas, critical illnesses, or specific health and wellbeing themes to support pricing and product initiatives.
- Experience in working across a diverse team with exemplary stakeholder management skills.
- An enquiring mind, ‘can-do’ attitude, and the ability to challenge other people’s thinking, when necessary.
