This will be a full time, 6-month max-term contract position based in the Newcastle office, with flexibility to work from home up to 3 days per week.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work directly with case managers as part of a team to deliver the icare customer experience
- Encourage proactive and open communication with key stakeholders during decision making process
- Provide regular advice and feedback to Case Managers and Team Leaders on adverse decisions relating to injury management (treatment, services, medication etc).
- Report to the Injury Management community and contribute to practice and professional development initiatives
- Promote and provide injury management support to the claims team within agreed timeframes
- Where required, attend and participate in Client Meetings

ABOUT YOU
- A background in Allied Health (Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation, Nursing, Psychology, Social Work or Exercise Science)
- Excellent understanding of the Workers Compensation Act 1987 (NSW) & the Workplace Injury Management & Workers Compensation Act 1998 (NSW)
- Demonstrated experience in Injury Management, particularly high-risk significant injury claims
- Ability and commitment to continuous learning
- Strong understanding of medical terminology
