**The Role**
As the Base Support Officer you will have considerable engagement with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure essential services are delivered, and our Defence Bases and Office environments are maintained to a high standard.

The APS4 will exercise initiative and judgement when supporting customers and their outcomes, and require limited guidance. They are expected to plan and complete activities and tasks, selecting methods and resolving issues that arise. They will be provided with assistance for the more complex issues.

**About our Team**
The Base Management Team monitors and responds to base service delivery issues, coordinates the development of whole of base plans across Defence support sites and reviews and monitors base support agreements to ensure currency and consistency with service delivery requirements.

The team works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure prescribed product and services standards are met within agreed time frames as well as build and sustain effective relationships with team members and actively participate in team work and group activities.

The team also evaluate activities and processes for compliance with legislation, regulation or standards, design and recommend solutions to whole of base operation issues impacting on the achievement of desired outcomes.

The team also assess risks and provide guidance in relation to risk management strategies and develops, rehearses and maintains whole of base plans and instructions to achieve business objectives.
