The New Acland Coal Mine (NAC), a thin seam open cut mining operation is owned and managed by New Hope Group. NAC based in Acland, 35km north-west of Toowoomba, has played a key role in the Darling Downs region as an employer and economic contributor since it began operation in October 2002.

**About the role**:
Based at New Acland Mine and reporting to the Project Execution Manager, you will manage and coordinate the execution phase of capital projects.

As the **HSET Lead, **you will**:

- Provide governance in the execution of the Health Safety and Environment Management System.
- Integrate and facilitate the HSET component of contractor onboarding to ensure training systems and plans are developed and deployed to ensure effective and compliant delivery of operations.
- Liaise with Execution leadership to ensure project delivery is aligned to site Safety and Health Management System and safe systems of work to meet statutory and operational safety requirements
- Engage, influence and partner with a multidisciplinary team of operational leaders with regards to understanding and achieving required objectives in health, safety, environment and training

- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Ability to prioritise, manage workload, and meet targets and timeframes
- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting ability
- Demonstrated success in influencing multiple construction teams across functions and working with team leaders to achieve organisation objectives.
- Working with and influencing senior level decision makers
- Health and/or Safety Tertiary qualifications (preferable)
- Incident Investigation
- Worked within QLD WHS and Coal Mining Legislative frameworks
- Internal Auditor Training
