**Description**:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review, maintain and improve food safety and quality systems
- Support the operations team to ensure consistent quality products are manufactured and delivered to the customers
- Investigate rejections, customer complaints, implement corrective actions and continuous improvement activities
- Manage Approved Supplier Program, Hygiene and Sanitation, Calibration, Preventative Maintenance, Pest Control
- Conduct GMP audit, internal audit of quality system, ensure audit preparedness
- Complete validation and verification activities as required
- Drive Food Safety Culture through engagement and initiatives with wider team
- Support NPD team in NPD trials and first production of new product
- Support QA/business projects and initiatives and other duties as required
**Skills and Experiences**:
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Tertiary qualifications in Food Science or a related discipline
- At least 3 years experience as a Quality Assurance Coordinator or in a similar role
- Experience in fresh produce or high-care environment is preferred.
- Experience in implementing and monitoring Quality Management Systems with exposure to food industry standards (SQF, HARPS, Woolworths)
- Formal HACCP training, qualified internal auditor
- Proactive and hands-on attitude with continuous improvement mindset
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with team members and stakeholders
- Keen attention to detail
- Strong computer skills including SharePoint, Microsoft Word, Excel
- Customer focused (internally and externally)
- Commitment to comply with, and support, workplace health and safety requirements
