**The role**:
Reporting to Delivery Director, the Principal Portfolio Officer will oversee monitoring and assurance activities and processes (including budget build and management) associated with the delivery of large scale, complex clinical Information Management (IM) and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) initiatives and BAU activities in line with agreed performance criteria, Queensland Health and Queensland Government requirements.

In addition to this, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of clinical and IT initiatives through leading effective performance reporting, analysis, assurance activities and the coordination of the Unite and Recover process. You will also provide high quality advice and support to executives within the agency on initiative performance and service performance by leading the development of dashboards, reports and analytical representations of the Information and Technology Services Digital and ICT Portfolio using a variety of analysis tools.

**To be successful in the role, you will have**:

- Experience and knowledge associated with monitoring and reporting of initiative performance including the use of reporting dashboards and analytical tools that are intuitive, responsive, professionally presented using data disparate information systems.
- Developed research, analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills including the proven capacity to initiate appropriate strategic and operational responses to key issues affecting the performance of the projects.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and manage one or more defined communication channels and/or stakeholder groups to assist reporting as well as planning and implementing business process change.
- Proven effective consultation, facilitation, written and oral communication skills for use in a complex environment.
- Demonstrated analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills and a proven ability to work in a team environment developing effective working relationships with team members.
