About Us
At Copyright Agency, our purpose is to support creation of Australian content
by making it easy for users to access copyrighted materials on fair terms. Our key
licensing schemes, which are Government appointed, include the statutory licences in
education and government, and the Resale Royalty Right. We also provide copyright
licensing services to the visual arts and commercial communities, and philanthropic
support to Australia’s creative community through our grants program, the Cultural
Fund.

CBD office two days per week where we collaborate and provide opportunities for

About the role
- Full-time or part-time role
- Work from anywhere

You will work closely with our Communications, Stakeholder Engagement and Visual
Arts teams. As the key spokesperson and contact for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait
Islander community, you will build relationships and consult with Indigenous artists,
authors and publishers, art centres and institutions to facilitate delivery of Copyright
Agency services.

**You will have flexibility and autonomy in this role to**:

- Promote Copyright Agency as a leader in the creative industries and assist in

the delivery of advocacy campaigns around copyright, the rights of artists and
creators.
- Work in partnership with fellow arts bodies to address current issues and liaise

with media.
- Develop strategies to increase Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander member

participation in our services.
- Work with Indigenous artists and the market to ensure understanding of

copyright, licensing and resale royalty.
- Support and guide colleagues in handling enquiries with cultural sensitivity.

Represent the company and promote our services at conferences and industry
forums.
- Support the company’s Reconciliation Action Plan.

About you
To thrive in this role, you will have a deep understanding of Aboriginal and Torres
Strait Island communities and experience in delivering services to those communities.
You are a good communicator - verbal and written, build effective relationships and
demonstrate leadership behaviors both inside and outside of the company. Ideally you
hold a qualification in Arts and Humanities - Indigenous Studies, Arts Management (or
similar) and an understanding of the Australian visual arts industry will be highly
regarded.
