Global insurance company looking for an experienced Compliance Manager to Implement and uplift Compliance

**Your new role**

The role will assist the Head of Compliance in the implementation of any improvement programs that are defined in the strategy and planned for within the Compliance area.
- Developing and recommending enhancements to the Monitoring Program, governance structure, policies and processes to meet all organisational compliance and policy obligations, in particular the Australian Financial Services Licence obligations.
- Monitoring of Authorised Representatives and Distributers to ensure compliance with obligations, agreements, policies and processes.
- Management of the compliance attestations to ensure the company meets its regulatory obligations.
- Oversight of Authorised Representatives Register and licence changes including changes of details, authorisations, variations and disclosure.
- Coordinating training for representatives.
- Monitoring the regulatory landscape, assessing trends and interpreting how these will affect the business.
- Governance of Conflicts of Interest and sanctions as appropriate.
- Providing monthly and quarterly reports and contributing to report enhancement.
- Identifying and providing compliance training to all staff.
- Supporting key projects with compliance advice, providing technical compliance review of new products/schemes
- Promoting appropriate compliance behaviour and culture by the effective communication and dissemination of compliance strategy.
- Attendance at Industry forums, as appropriate.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline e.g. Commerce, Law, Accounting or similar
- A minimum of 8+ years’ experience in compliance in insurance/financial services
- Hands-on experience in monitoring and governance, AFSL obligations, licensing, Authorised Representatives/Distributors, interpretation of legislation and regulations.
- Ability to work independently with ability to escalate appropriately.
- Reporting and presentation capability.
- Highly developed ability to establish key stakeholder relationships with good influencing skills.
