We're seeking a compassionate and skilled Youth Refuge Caseworker to join our dedicated team at City Limits Youth Refuge in Geelong. This is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping vulnerable youth transition into safe, sustainable housing and build brighter futures.

About the Role

As a Youth Refuge Caseworker, you will:

  • Provide trauma-informed, youth-friendly case management to young people aged 16–20 experiencing homelessness.
  • Support residents during their stay and for up to three months post-exit, helping them build life skills and access education, training, or employment.
  • Facilitate transitions into safe, long-term accommodation through tailored support and collaborative care planning.
  • Contribute to the day-to-day operations of the refuge, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.
  • Work both independently and as part of a passionate team, responding to complex situations with sound judgment and initiative.

What We're Looking For

We value individuals who bring empathy, resilience, and professionalism to their work. To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Youth Work, Welfare Studies, or a related discipline (minimum Diploma level).
  • Demonstrated experience in case management with vulnerable young people, including assessment, planning, and exit strategies.
  • Strong understanding of youth homelessness, trauma-informed care, and frameworks such as Best Interests and Advantage Thinking.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • A current Victorian Driver's License.
