**About the role**:
The Team Leader - Asset Inspection is responsible for management of the day-to-day operations of the Asset Inspection team, combining a strong customer focus with the need to meet key business objectives. This role is instrumental in ensuring delivery of the lines asset inspections function and ensuring that the works are conducted efficiently, effectively, and to a high quality standard.

The role is also responsible for providing leadership and support to the Asset Inspection team in delivery of their activities, and driving development of skills and capability within the team, along with a culture of continuous improvement.

**What you’ll deliver**:

- Manage efficient and productive delivery of inspections works programs delivered by the Asset Inspection team, focusing on effective resource utilisation.
- Ensure program compliance with all relevant policies, schedules, and quality and safety standards.
- Manage the geographically dispersed team to deliver assigned activities as required, and meet and exceed individual and group KPI’s and performance outcomes.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to the team, drive individual development, and morale and engagement of team members.
- Build and drive a culture of continuous improvement that is consistent with organisational vision and values, and maintains safety as a key priority.

**To succeed in this role you’ll have**:

- Management or leadership related qualification, or equivalent experience in field leadership roles.
- Degree / Certification in an electrical distribution trade.
- Proven experience with auditing, mentoring and coaching in a trade related field.
- Sound knowledge of asset management inspection principles and techniques.
- Thorough understanding of the electrical distribution network.
- Extensive experience in a similar project/program management role in the areas of transmission, distribution, design, construction or inspection.
- A working knowledge of Click, SAP and other relevant Microsoft programs.
