Overview:
The Assistant Director, Community Services and Partnerships will:
- Report to the Executive Director, Integrated Care Systems and is responsible for providing strategic, organisational and policy advice.
- Provide leadership and coordination for the effective and efficient design, delivery and ongoing refinement of a suite of state-wide system improvement strategies
- Address barriers to discharge experienced by hospital patients accessing community services, in particular in the aged care and disability sectors.
- Work closely with Local Health Networks (LHNs) and other key stakeholders in co design and developing these strategies. The position is also responsible for liaison and negotiation with the NDIS, Commonwealth Government and Department of Human Services (DHS) to optimise outcomes for South Australia resulting from state and national disability and aged care reforms and associated matters.
- Represent the state in relevant national forums, and committees with key stakeholders and other government and non-government organisations providing high level advice on state and national matters.
- Provide leadership and day to day management of the Community Services and Partnerships team in achieving their business objectives.

**Criminal History Screening Requirement**

SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
**Special Conditions**
- Appropriate qualification in an Allied Health discipline from a recognised tertiary institution resulting in registration.
- Registration with APHRA and/or eligible for membership of relevant professional association.
- SA Health (Health Care Act) Human Resources Manual for Health Care Act employees.
