**Health and Safety Manager**

As a result of our continued growth and $1 billion work-in-hand, Georgiou is seeking a permanent Project Health and Safety Manager to join our project-based team and work primarily on large civil infrastructure projects across NSW. Initially, you will support and see our Mona vale Road East Upgrade through to completion. The project involves the upgrade of 3.2 kilometres of Mona Vale Road and provides a vital piece of infrastructure to Sydney’s northern suburbs. It also involves building additional climbing and descending lanes to improve travel times and includes the upgrade of the Mona Vale Road/Ponderosa Parade roundabout to a signalised intersection.

This stand-alone role will work with our diverse project teams to lead the development, implementation, ongoing management and delivery of the project health & safety initiatives, processes and procedures, ensuring that all project activities are conducted in accordance with regulatory and project requirements

Your key duties will be to:

Identifies all authority requirements, approvals management and advises on Project contractual requirements of the Safety Management System as required
- Developing, implementing and communicating Georgiou’s “Safety is My Way” culture and WHS strategies to our site employees and subcontractors
- Ensures that all Project activities, processes and systems comply with applicable workplace health and safety laws, regulations and statutory obligations: Educates Project teams subcontractors and others in project safety standards and practices
- Monitoring and ensuring our Risk Register, health and safety systems and management plans are maintained to a high standard as well as incidents and areas for opportunity are investigated to find root cause and corrective actions

**What you’re good at**:
Aside from having relevant qualifications in Health & safety or related discipline, you have extensive experience in a similar role, preferably in a site-based civil construction environment.

To thrive in our team environment, you should have demonstrated examples providing advice and assistance to support Project/Contract Managers and our frontline teams to ensure the effective implementation of the project’s HSE systems. You are also a dynamic communicator who can build a strong relationship not only with project stakeholders at all levels but also with our Transport for NSW client/representatives.
