**The role**
To administer and assist with the processing of payroll in a timely, confidential, and accurate manner for Auto & General in line with our values and capabilities.
The Payroll Team reside within the People Service team at Auto & General, accountable for employees of Auto & General and associated entities as well the compliance to State, Federal government, and other bodies (e.g., superannuation funds).

**What you’ll be responsible for**:
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, and in conjunction with your team will be responsible for:

- Manage payroll-related queries and issues i.e., managing Hotline & Inbox
- Track, investigate, and action outstanding Leave and forms.
- Liaise with HR regarding staff appointments, terminations, conditions of service and other relevant matters.
- Checking and maintaining employee payroll data.
- Maintain data accuracy within Aurion and associated systems.
- Efficient and accurate high-volume transactional processing including but not limited to commencement of new employees, terminations, leave, allowance, and deductions.
- Other adhoc administrative duties.

**What experience you’ll bring**

You will be a professional with a “can do” attitude and someone who takes ownership of your work. A customer focus with an eye for detail is an essential part of this role. Ideally, you will also possess the following:

- Knowledge of payroll procedures.
- Experience in Termination payments is advantageous.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well with others and autonomously.
- Intermediate Excel skills with Aurion experience is highly regarded.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to problem solve.
