- We are currently looking for Disability Support Workers to join our team to work with our female participant in Gold Coast Northern suburb of Coomera.- We are looking for support workers who have experience working with persons who have a disability. We are specifically looking for support workers who have Adaptability, flexibility, reliability and dedicated to assisting our participants to work towards meeting their current & future health goals. - Genuine drive to care and support those vulnerable- What is involved in this role?- You will be providing exceptional, person-centered care to enhance the life of our client in the comfort of their family home. Shifts will range from 6am through the entire day.- Duties and responsibilities may include:- Personal Care: assisting with hygiene and personal grooming.
- Medication assistance.
- High Intensity supports including Enteral Feeding and Complex Bowel Care.
- Monitoring the well-being of the participant reporting and documenting on their progress.
- Attending training as required.
- Manual Handling - including slide sheets and hoists experience, PEG experience,- preferred but not essential.-
- Expected to follow the company policies and procedures and code of conduct.We do things differently at Right at Home. You'll be part of a person's ongoing support team, which means you'll get to build long-term professional relationships with your participant and family members and your teammates.You will have:- Minimum Certificate III or IV Disability or Community Services
- Minimum of 1 years experience in disability support work
- Current CPR / First Aid Certificate
- Current and Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check or yellow card
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence
- Reliable, registered and insured vehicle
- Smartphone with internet access
