Trainer - Workplace Emergency & Evacuation

TrimEVAC, as part of Greencap and WSP, provides a comprehensive range of Emergency Management Services, including training, consultancy and auditing across a diverse range of clients in both government and private sectors. Supported by a team of over 300 professional employees based in 8 offices across Australia, we are now seeking to appoint a highly motivated Training Professional to provide Emergency Management Training.
**About the role**
Due to growth in the Emergency Management space, we now have a vacancy for an experienced Trainer - Workplace Emergency & Evacuation for a 11+ month period with possibility to extend further. This role will see you delivering training to our client in the aviation/airport industry.
This role will be responsible for the following:
- Co-ordination of Warden training;
- Planning and coordination of emergency evacuations;
- Planning and coordination of Emergency Planning Committee meetings;
- Review of Evacuation Diagrams and Emergency Procedures Manuals;
- Developing and implementing agreed Emergency Management solutions
- Completing and maintaining all training records
**About you**
To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience delivering structured training sessions both online and face to face. This role would ideally suit people with a background in the aviation/airport-based sector (e.g. Airport/Airline Operations, Aviation Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF) or FRNSW). If you don't have experience in this sector, we may be willing to provide industry specific training to experienced Emergency Management Trainers.
To ensure success in this role, you will have the following:
- Cert IV Training & Assessment (TAE40116) or a willingness to attain (and we will support you);
- The ability to work autonomously as once you are comfortable, you will be running training without supervision;
- Ability to establish rapport quickly and have a maturity that allows you to “read the room” and adapt as needed in your approach;
- Ability to write detailed and meaningful reports as well as great organisation skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal (and written) communication;
- Capacity to identify issues and respond efficiently;
- Ability to obtain Aviation Security Identification Card ( ASIC)
