Melbourne- Asset Management- Contract or TemporaryThe role is an operations-based project role that works with Operations, Technology and project managers working as an Operations SME/ BA.

The ASX will be replacing CHESS with new block-chain distributed ledger technology. The CHESS replacement project is the biggest project in a generation for the Clearing and Settlement industry, and an opportunity has arisen for an equity operations professional to join the team to work on this exciting project as an Operations SME/ Project staff member.

**As a resource on the CHESS replacement project you will be required to undertake the following functions**:

- Gathering Operational requirements
- Analysing release notes to understand how they impact Operations
- Working with the Technology team to assist in the delivery of new system
- Developing a testing strategy for the new build
- Testing the Technology development items as they are released and documenting results for sign off
- Planning for the migration to the new platform and building a migration run book
- Process design and mapping

**Key Competencies / Skills**:

- 5+ years’ experience in financial markets
- Proven background and experience in projects within financial services
- Strong CHESS settlements, equity operations and operations focused project experience
