**Job Summary**:
As a Food and Beverage Supervisor aboard Lady Cutler Melbourne Showboat, you will manage our bar and dining services, ensuring a high standard of guest satisfaction and operational efficiency. You will also be responsible for performing various deckhand duties, contributing to the overall maintenance and safety of the vessel. This role combines hospitality management with maritime responsibilities, offering a dynamic work environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Food and Beverage Management**:

- **Bar Oversight**: Manage daily operations of the boat’s bar, including staff supervision, inventory control, and ensuring adherence to safety and hygiene standards.
- **Guest Service**: Provide exceptional service to guests, addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring a pleasant and memorable experience.
- **Staff Management**: Train and supervise bar and hospitality crew. Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching.
- **Event Setup**: Set up equipment and furniture for each unique event. AV knowledge is a bonus.

**Deckhand Duties**:

- **Maintenance**: Perform regular checks and maintenance of the vessel’s deck areas, ensuring cleanliness and safety.
- **Safety Procedures**: Assist with safety drills and ensure compliance with maritime regulations. Monitor and manage safety equipment.
- **Assisting Guests**: Help guests with boarding and disembarking. Provide assistance during emergencies or adverse weather conditions.
- **General Tasks**: Support the deck crew with tasks such as mooring, cleaning, and minor repairs.

**Administrative Tasks**:

- **Reporting**: Maintain accurate records of bar transactions, inventory usage, and staff performance. Prepare reports as needed for management review.
- **Compliance**: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including alcohol service laws and health and safety standards.

**Qualifications**:

- **Experience**: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in food and beverage management, preferably with experience in a maritime or cruise setting.
- **Skills**: Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- **Certifications**: RSA certificate. Certification in First Aid and CPR is a plus.
- **Physical Fitness**: Ability to perform physical tasks related to deckhand duties and handle the demands of working on a boat.

**Working Conditions**:

- **Environment**: Work will be performed in a marine environment, with exposure to varying weather conditions. Flexibility in working hours is required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 12 per week
