**About the role**
In this leadership role, you will drive the Amenity Protection, Permits & Review Services performance to ensure budget, safety, service delivery, customer experience and legislative requirements are met or exceeded. You will also support the planning, development and delivery of the Health & Local Laws annual plan, budget and strategies.

Classification: Band 8 ($115,035 - $127,911 pa plus super)
- Lead employee performance and development reviews to identify development opportunities and establish performance targets
- Ensure that service outcomes are monitored in line with agreed processes and timelines
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, to ensure improved service delivery and a better customer experience in accordance with corporate standards
- Prepare, monitor and manage the unit’s annual plan actions and budget
- Support the professional delivery and planning of projects, programs and events in line with the Organisations Vision, Strategy & Council plan
- Ensure that any external contracts are managed in accordance with corporate standards.
**About you**
The ideal candiate for this role, you will have strong leadership capability, with the ability to align organisational plans to team objectives and outputs. You will have demonstrated knowledge of local government legislation relevant to the services and the ability to interpret and explain such legislation.
- High level leadership capability with the ability to foster positive team culture aligned to the organisation purpose and values
- Proven experience with legislative documents such as acts, regulations, local laws and code of practice, and the ability to interpret and explain them
- Demonstrated ability to develop initiatives and implement a process of continuous improvement
- Demonstrated experience in business unit planning, budgeting, safety management, performance management and reporting
- Highly developed customer service skills and extensive experience working with a range of internal and external providers to deliver high quality outcomes
- Tertiary qualification or relevant experience in a management or related field.
