Food Court Manager

**Job Duties/Essential Functions**
- Develops, coaches, counsels, and directs food court personnel
- Mentors and provides direct assistance to the food court supervisor
- Monitors employee performance and provides proactive feedback to promote team work and accountability
- Participates in the employment process by making recommendations for hiring, promotion, and termination
- Participates in food court employee evaluations
- Responds to employee concerns using problem solving skills, tact, and discretion in accordance with the Costco
Employee Agreement and other applicable regulations
- Approves timecards and other reports
- Implements and upholds proper food court and general safety and sanitation procedures and standards
- Determines product production requirements and participates in production
- Observes employee performance and paperwork to ensure proper department production and cash handling procedures
and standards are followed
- Reviews food court profit and loss statement
- Develops and implements sales and expense plan for department
- Observes employee procedures to ensure health code compliance in all operations of the department, such as
sanitation, temperatures, and expiration dates
- Completes, complies, and enforces the 11 Commandments of Quality Assurance, Food Safety Certification and all safety
training required by warehouse and Food Court department
- Follows Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) guidelines as it refers to proper cleaning and sanitation of all
equipment required by this position
- Approves and submits physical inventory periodically
- Approves and submits orders to Buying office for equipment, product, and supplies
- Coordinates proper maintenance and repairs for machinery and equipment
- Assist in other departments of warehouse as necessary
- Provide prompt and courteous customer service to members, employees, and suppliers.
**Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery**
- Pizza oven, steam table, latte machine, yoghurt and smoothie machine, dough press, scale, cash register, phone,
wheeled rack, trash compactor, baler, dishwasher, fire extinguisher, computer, printer, copier, compactor/baler, deep
fryers, hot holders and proofers.
Education/Training: Higher School Certificate
Licenses/Certifications: None
Other Skills and Abilities: Management, Customer service or comparable experience
Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
Food Court experience
Strong customer service, communication, interpersonal and organisation skills
Problem solving and critical thinking
Basic math skills
