Regional Server Coordinator - ( 230002XA )

**Description**

The Regional Server Coordinator ensures the availability of servers, configuration of all new implementations, and developing processes and procedures for ongoing management of the server environment.

**Day to day tasks would involve**:

- Ensuring that all security incidents and near misses are reported to the CISO & CIO, Advanced Technology, Global IT Director, Service Management and the ITSC - as per Stantec’s Security Incident Response Procedure
- Act as advocates in support of the Security Awareness program and work with the end-user community to foster good security practices
- Resolve ITSC tickets within agreed timeframes by following the Service Management processes and ensure all tickets are correctly documented
- Contribute to the resolution of operational issues by working collaboratively with peers
- Conduct Queue Management activities, including the management and auditing of the Incident and Service Request queues, monitoring, and alerting the Operations Lead on trends
- Work with the team to ensure stable operation, availability, reliability, and serviceability of Stantec server infrastructure
- Manage, administrate, and support Windows servers and their associated software and hardware
- Participate and manage capacity planning and performance monitoring and tuning.
- Collaborate with other IT Service teams and the Procurement team on lifecycle management to ensure that local IT assets are fully and effectively utilized
- Supports corporate and regional policies, procedures, and best practices pertinent to supporting Windows servers
- Administers and maintains end user accounts, permissions, and access rights
- Coordinate and progress projects and activities within the server team
- Participate in cross training and mentoring with service delivery teams
- Supporting management to ensure appropriate staff utilization and identifying development opportunities
- In conjunction with the Operations Lead, contribute to the Year End Performance Review process within the team.

**To be successful for this role you'll need**:

- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Proficiency in Server OS and VM Technologies
- A good understanding of Active Directory, DNS and DHCP
- Hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong detail orientation and ability to organize and prioritize a diverse array of assignments and duties
- Ability to plan and organize workload/projects as necessary
- Ability to meet deadlines
- You must be resourceful, analytical in solving problems, and an effective communicator.
- Able to work after office hours as required
- Demonstrates leadership aptitude, highly self-motivated with keen attention to detail.
