**About the opportunity**
At Australia Post, the Parcel Product team is driven by a mission: "to connect people and businesses through innovative, reliable, and sustainable freight solutions”. Out of Home (OOH) is a key enabler of this mission and is transforming the way parcels are collected and returned by introducing innovative delivery solutions such as parcel lockers, hubs, and other diverse self-service options.
As an important pillar within the Out of Home (OOH) strategy, the Infrastructure Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping and managing the technological and physical infrastructure required to deliver seamless, customer-centric solutions.
**What you’ll deliver with us**
This role is responsible for overseeing the entire ecosystem of hardware and software assets that power the OOH Collect & Return offering. This includes driving the evaluation, procurement, integration, and management of technologies and physical assets to ensure operational excellence and scalability. The Infrastructure Manager will act as the strategic link between internal teams and external vendors, ensuring alignment between technical capabilities, operational processes, and customer needs.
The role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, experience of dealing with OEM and ODMs and program management skills to design and maintain an ecosystem that supports the long-term strategy for OOH services. By championing innovation and collaboration, the Infrastructure Manager will ensure Australia Post continues to lead in delivering sustainable, accessible, and future-focused OOH delivery solutions.
You will deliver infrastructure strategy and management for the OOH hardware and software ecosystem, collaborate with product management, driving cross-functional collaboration, manage vendors and partners and drive innovation and continuous improvement.
**You’ll also**
- Develop and maintain the strategic vision for the OOH hardware and software ecosystem, ensuring alignment with Australia Post’s Post26 strategy.
- Lead the evaluation, selection, and procurement of hardware and software assets, ensuring they meet the technical, operational, and customer experience requirements of the OOH Collect & Return portfolio.
- Establish a roadmap for infrastructure development, outlining key milestones, dependencies, and resource needs to support future growth and scalability.
- Continuously assess emerging technologies and innovations to future-proof the OOH ecosystem.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Operations, Engineering, and Marketing teams to align hardware and software capabilities with broader product objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with hardware and software vendors, ensuring accountability and delivery against agreed specifications and timelines.
- Ensure the reliability and performance of hardware and software assets across the OOH Collect & Return network, including parcel lockers and self-service hubs.
- Drive innovation by identifying opportunities to enhance the hardware and software ecosystem with cutting-edge technologies and process improvements.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor advancements to ensure Australia Post remains at the forefront of OOH delivery solutions.
- Work closely with the data and analytics team to integrate ecosystem data streams into reporting and decision-making frameworks.
- Leverage real-time data to optimize hardware and software performance and improve the overall customer experience.
- Ensure data privacy and security compliance across all ecosystem components.

You will be able to ensure the scalability and resilience of the ecosystem to support future growth. You will also be able to manage competing priorities and timelines across multiple stakeholders and projects.
**You’ll also need**
- Experience in managing complex hardware and software ecosystems, ideally in logistics, retail, or technology-driven industries is desirable.
- Proven success leading procurement, integration and management of large scale technology assets.
- Demonstrated experience in vendor and contract management, including negotiating and managing SLAs.
- Deep understanding of hardware and software technologies relevant to out of home delivery solutions and understanding of industry trends.
