My client is a reputable and progressive government organisation who has engaged Hudson as they have a requirement for an experienced and talented Procurement Specialist. You will have the opportunity to work within a committed and passionate team which will enable you to utilise your highly developed procurement skills and support them through periods of growth on a contract basis.

**The Role**

As a Procurement Advisor your day-to-day responsibilities will include but not be restricted to:

- Contribute to the development of policies and contracts and provide ongoing advice in alignment with the departmental procurement procedures
- Development and execution of negotiation strategies, contract obligations, identification of risks and opportunities, cost, quality and schedule requirements.
- Provide support to team members and encourages strong communication, knowledge, sharing, coaching, positive and collaborative culture.
- Support and promote ongoing strategic alignment with whole of Government, Strategic Procurement and key stakeholders in respect of service delivery, transformation and procurement
- Establish relationships and liaise with internal and external stakeholders
- Champion value improvement and / or cost reduction initiatives to continually improve business performance.
- Support activities to ensure compliance with corporate governance obligations, standards, legislation and policies.
- Ensure emerging risks are identified, costed, monitored and managed appropriately.

**About You**
To be successful in this role you will be an enthusiastic Procurement Specialist having worked previously in a similar role with relevant qualifications. You must have a proven track record of successfully supporting company contracts and procurement, negotiation and delivery of contracts, as well as experience working in a fast paced, challenging environment. You will be strong commercially and have exceptional interpersonal, communication and influencing skills. Key strengths of yours will be the ability to develop and nurture internal and external relationships, and the ability to solve problems and resolve issues of a complex nature.
