**About the role**:
The Portfolio, Distribution and Corporate Services team within C&IB is the central capital and portfolio manager for C&IB. We work with Business & Private Bank and Treasury to deliver efficient capital and balance sheet outcomes for the Bank. The Capital & Distribution Solutions (CDS) team is responsible for the development and execution of structured portfolio transactions to third party investors, delivering efficient solutions for the Bank. As well the development of solutions and structures, investor engagement and client origination, transaction execution and overseeing ongoing transaction performance.

As the Associate Director, you will develop capital solutions which add value to the Bank, whilst building effective engagement and trust with internal and external stakeholders, including third party investors and originate transactions. You will Lead projects and initiatives across C&IB and B&PB through to completion on time, ensuring effective communication with all stakeholders.

**Your key accountabilities will include**:

- Deliver on the C&IB and corporate Finance plan and deliver on customer outcomes
- Work closely with Executives Leaders
- Develop capital solutions which add value to the Bank
- Build effective engagement and trust with internal and external stakeholders, including third party investors as well as the origination of transactions
- Lead deal execution including dealing with internal and external stakeholders and obtaining required Bank approvals
- Being involved in deal origination with third party investors and other initiatives across C&IB and B&PB through to completion on time
- Ensure effective communication with all stakeholders
- Contribute to a team orientated team environment that is enjoyable, challenging and rewarding

**To be successful in this opportunity, you will have**:

- Experience in development and execution of complex structured deals
- Proven track record in execution with origination experience
- Engaging and managing numerous stakeholders internally and externally
- Negotiating transaction terms and documentation
- Drafting submissions and memoranda explaining complex deals

**Your Capabilities, Experience & Qualifications will include**:

- Bachelor’s degree at a recognised university in economics, finance, actuarial studies, accounting, law or engineering and/or post graduate degrees in similar disciplines
- Expert sector knowledge and understanding of corporate finance, accounting, legal, tax and credit analysis
- A demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective and constructive working relationships with a range of senior internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to be effective in senior leadership forums across NAB and quickly secure the trust and respect of executive peers and new and existing clients
- Ability to work effectively with multiple business stakeholders and investors
- Strong understanding of bank prudential capital and structured credit products
- Understanding of tax, accounting and legal considerations in structured deals
- Credit analysis experience in asset-backed transactions is preferred
