**About the role**:
The Timely Emergency Care Collaborative project is the Department of Health's innovative approach to improve the timeliness of emergency care across the Victorian health system, in partnership with the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, 14 Health Services and Ambulance Victoria.

The Collaborative involves three workstreams:

- Strengthen leadership oversight and establish an effective data-driven learning system to improve hospital-wide patient flow and deliver timely emergency care
- Improve hospital-wide patient flow to create capacity and reduce wait times for emergency admissions/transfers
- Improve efficiencies, length of stay, and throughput in the ED

**How you'll make a difference**:
As an Improvement Advisor you will bring technical expertise in improvement science to the work of the Collaborative. This role will contribute to the development of the Collaborative measurement strategy and advise on sound construction of the theory of change.

**Suitable applicants will be able to demonstrate**:

- Contribute to the development of foundational Collaborative materials including project aims, measurement strategy, content theory, execution strategy and dissemination plans.
- Teach, coach, and support participating teams.
- Facilitate shared learning among participating teams throughout the
- Collaborative and harvest successes for broader dissemination and spread.
- Utilise improvement measurement principles to monitor and report
- Collaborative progress utilising a platform that supports data sharing, reporting on progress, dissemination of learning and assess.
- Collaborative progress and identify necessary changes in key technical content, measurement, and use of improvement science tools and methods.
- Facilitate regular reflection on progress and support the development of strategies for addressing challenges as they arise.
- Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements.
- Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and for that of others in the workplace by working in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate how the actions and outcomes of this role and work unit impact clients and the department's ability to deliver, or facilitate the delivery of, effective support and services.
- Contribute to preparation and participation in meetings to ensure intentional reflection on progress and learning.
