**THE ROLE**
Reporting to the Manager, Prevention, Compliance and Change, the Principal Advisor will support the department's integrity function and help drive a pro-integrity culture. The Principal Advisor will play a key role in complementing the Integrity Unit's technical expertise by leading policy advice and its implementation, driving increased integrity knowledge through strategic communications, and internal and external reporting. The Principal Advisor will support the department's integrity function, including but not limited to: drafting high quality integrity related briefings and reports for the Executive Board, integrity forums and Audit and Risk Management Committee, developing communications for the executive and the broader staffing group; providing strategic and thorough advice on integrity policy, risks and functions; drafting policies and procedures; responding to recommendations by external integrity agencies; and working in accordance with requirements in relevant legislation such as the _Public Interest Disclosures Act 2012_ or the _Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission Act 2011._
**ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE**
- Provide timely, high-quality and accurate advice and information with a high degree of sensitivity, in both verbal and written form with a high level of knowledge, expertise and risk analysis; preparing all necessary documentation, writing briefings; and drafting integrity advice in accordance with policy.
- Negotiate with senior stakeholders and peers to increase buy-in and with the aim of effectively and cooperatively resolving integrity issues, ensuring the department adopts a culture of integrity and continual service improvement.
- Effectively identify and report on high-risk matters or possible system-wide improvements.
