Our procurement and supply chain function meets the demands of the Qantas Group’s diverse portfolio, maximising value through our supplier relationships and delivering responsible and resilient operations.
Qantas is undergoing a procurement change program to refresh the Group-wide procurement model - to uplift and streamline procurement policies, procedures and operations/ performance management, enabled by data and improvements to our systems.
In your role as Manager, Procurement Change, you will coordinate the design and operationalisation of best practice procurement policies and procedures - allowing Qantas to realise benefits across the entire procurement value chain, whilst leveraging existing processes to their full potential. Key activities include:
- Establish a clear governance structure including program objectives, scope and defined roles and responsibilities.
- Develop a comprehensive program plan, outlining project timelines and budget.
- Provide regular program status updates and reports to stakeholders and senior executives.
- Support required changes to existing technology, data and systems and ensure this work is prioritised into our managed technology plan.
You’ll have
- 10+ years’ experience in Program / Change Management - delivering business and technology transformation
- Establishing and lead program governance across multiple streams of work and cross-functional stakeholders
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive program management plan, outlining project timelines, budget, and scope.
- Coordinate with key stakeholders to define and prioritise activity and develop a comprehensive program plan, outlining project timelines, budget, and scope; and provide regular program status updates and reports to stakeholders and senior executives.
- Coordinate change management, including stakeholder engagement, communication, and training.
- Track and report on program risks and coordinate the development of contingency plans for potential risks and issues.
- Subject matter background in best practice procurement, source-to-contract and supplier management in complex corporate environments
- Experience in the design, implementation and management of Group-wide standards and policies
- Experience in process mapping and design
- Commercial and cost modelling mindset to articulate trade-offs and mitigants
- Vendor management and negotiation, senior advisor engagement
- Experience leading and influencing collaborative cross functional groups to drive outcomes
- Ability to work effectively and independently with mínimal oversight
- Able to develop plans, prioritise and influence in a high-pressure environment
- A problem-solver with an ability to cut-through complexity and an ability to think creatively at a tactical level with a keen attention to detail
